Okay, so I missed this when I was a kid, but we Netflixed it now. Thoughts:

  1. I totally had like ALL those toys. God, toys were awesome back then, even though everything else in the world sucked.

  2. So let’s say you were making a movie with a gigantic robot duel — what would you do for music? Maybe a symphonic score? A techno driving beat? Stark silence for the shock value? Or how about cheery ’80s pop? The movie chooses the last option! FREQUENTLY! It is insanely, insanely dated. It’s not a great movie, but if it were, that soundtrack would make it impossible to take seriously. Ye gads.
