So, to my tastes this is the best Marvel movie ever, even better than Spider-Man. Perfect casting, a very well-done story, and it’s not even boring before he turns into Iron Man, which is something that almost no superhero movie can say. I think the idea of making a superhero movie about a hero who is actually fun and light-hearted instead of angsty and mopey is a fabulous, wonderful, brilliant idea and it’s about damn time they did it.

Also, it’s interesting because there’s one fairly major plot point that, to people who haven’t read the comic, is a surprise twist partway through; but to people who have is basically revealed by character names. Also, if you sit through the 45 minutes of credits (note to movie people: GOOD LORD KNOCK THAT SHIT OFF; nobody cares who your fucking caterer was or about the team of 85 programmers who devised the texture renderer that SFX team #3 used during the credits), there’s a post-credit thing that’s worth seeing.
