So, I like Coen brothers movies, right? In general, I mean. And this one is all award-winning and what-not, so you’d think I’d especially like it. But, in fact, no.

And you know why? Because it’s about goddamn lowlifes and thugs and sleazy, tawdry scum. I guess people who liked TV’s The Wire or Xbox’s GTA IV might also like this, but for me, it’s just kinda unpleasant. Also, the ending is horrifically awful, just unbearably bad; I think they subcontracted it to Neal Stephenson circa 1998.
