Meh! This was about 20 minutes of interesting info crammed into a 90 minute show.

What’s irritating is, they spent almost no time at all talking about Helvetica itself, how it was different from pre-Helvetica typefaces, &c. It’s like one of those science specials where they spend a lot of time talking about how Einstein banged his cousin, but barely touch on what relativity actually is.

I suspect that people like it in inverse proportion to how much they found type interesting ex ante. People who’d never even considered type before probably find it revelatory (or hilarious) to find people speaking passionately on the subject, but if you’ve already read a lot aboot this, there’s not much new here.
