Oh yeah, we totally saw this! I was actually, upon reflection, a bit disappointed in it, mostly because the reviews all hyped it up.

As an SF film, it’s maddening because it completely ignores all the interesting issues to focus on this one bureaucrat dude. As a Social Commentary movie, it’s way too obvious and in your face. It actually works best as a dystopian movie, like Brazil or The Matrix, but it’s not really focused enough to make that effective.

But it’s not a bad movie, and if they make a sequel (which there is PLENTY OF ROOM for, although I think it’d have to be tonally very different from this one), I’d watch it.
