What a dumb movie. It’s all super-portentous about everything, with the sort of thudding obviousness that you’d expect to see in like a college project. I guess the movie was made back in the dawn of time, which is why that’s forgiven and it’s considered a classic, but man, whatevs. If this were in English and in color and were made today, it’d be laughed out of the theatre.
