So I had heard good things about this, but my verdict is: MEH.

As the movie starts out, there’s a dude on the moon, and he seems to be seeing things. Is this a Solaris-type dream-logic movie? But wait, there is also a HAL-ish computer played by Kevin Spacey! Is this a 2001-type killer computer movie?

The answer is no to both questions; to tell you what kind of movie it actually is, is too spoilery, so I won’t. But I will say that it looks initially promising in its plot and theme, but then peters out at the end.

Beside that, the movie is just amateurishly done, in that indie film way. There are a lot of scenes that don’t seem to have any purpose at all, and a lot of ACTING! moments that don’t really work in the context of the film. I guess it’s impressive that CG has gotten to the level where it looks perfectly normal and quality-ish even on an indie movie like this, but writing and directing are not subject to such technological improvement, so.

As SF films go, it’s perfectly adequate, and it has the virtue of actually being an SF film, as opposed to an action movie or horror movie or whatever – but definitely nothing special.
