This is a movie by Sofia “Francis Ford” Coppola, who made Lost in Translation. Like that movie, it features an actor living in a hotel and his adventures with a younger woman. Unlike that movie, it’s not in Japan and the woman is his daughter.

This is the sort of meandering, aimless movie that will salt your cocoa if you were in any kind of a hurry; but then, that hand is pretty much tipped by the minutes-long opening scene of a dude driving his car around a racetrack (with the camera fixed in one position briefly seeing his car zoom by on each lap), so hey.

Reasonable enough movie, given that constraint, but really, there’s not a lot of there there.
