So this is a movie where Julianne Moore wants a divorce from Steve Carell because she is perhaps fewer degrees from Kevin Bacon than she ought to be, and then… well, actually that’s all the plot that I should probably give, because while this seems at first like it’s going to go in a very conventional direction, it ultimately is a lot more interesting than it seems like it’ll be. I heartily approve of movies that are doing conventional formula things, except doing them extremely well.

It’s still too soulmatey for my tastes, but hey, romcom, so what do you expect? Also, I wish I had Ryan Gosling to help me pick out a wardrobe.
