So this is apparently the sequel to that Prometheus movie. I haven’t seen it recently enough to notice if there are plot holes between the two movies, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there were — but they do seem to fit together surprisingly well, much better than I would have expected.

So as in Prometheus, some dudes get suckered into going to a shitty-ass planet where SPOILERS they mostly get fucking killed by the titular alien.

It’s kind of old-fashioned in its pacing (45 minutes before the alien kills!), and the computer screens are like Apple IIs for no obvious reason, but otherwise, it’s a pretty decent SF horror movie, and a worthy sequel to Prometheus.
