Finishing up all the Alien movies, we watched this one tonight, and… my teenage self was right, it’s a solid movie. I get why people wouldn’t like it — it’s relentlessly bleak and grim, top to bottom, in a way that’s less “fun” than the militaristic fuck-yeahism of Aliens — but I still think that, on net, it’s the better movie than Cameron’s installment, and second only to the original.

I stand by previous rankings, and if you think otherwise, you should consider that you may well be suffering from ’80s nostalgitis.
