So you know how James Bond movies used to be silly fun, but now are stupid grimdark bullshit? The Kingsman is more or less what a James Bond movie would be if it were made in modernity — it’s a self-aware, deeply silly, superspy movie. Don’t think hard about it, don’t worry about how many people die offscreen, don’t think about a lot of things, but it’s decent as an example of its genre.
