So Theon Greyjoy old yellers Neo, and hijinks ensue. Thoughts:

  1. Apparently this movie is allegedly “ultraviolent” but tbh it’s mostly videogamey in that people die from headshots and snapped necks, so it’s not actually violent in that visceral Daredevil kind of way. It’s just one of those things where a dude kills like 30-40 enemies, and you know he’s a badass thereby.

  2. It’s a little weird because before it ever establishes that John Wick is a badass, it “establishes” it by having people say things like “John Wick? HE’S A BADASS!” and so forth. Which feels like cheating. I shouldn’t be like, “gosh, I guess this guy is super-cool, because everyone SAYS he’s super-cool,” I should see evidence of it.

  3. Basically it’s an innocuous perfectly-fine-but-not-great movie. I don’t see why people like it so much.
