Some time ago, a friend was all saying that this movie was good, and then I was like hmm, maybe, but wevs, and then I didn’t watch it, and then years(?) later my wife put it on, and I watched it, and: It’s actually pretty good!

Basically, it’s Andy Samberg and the Lonely Island people doing a bunch of Lonely Island musical numbers connected by a kind of Spinal Tap-esque mockumentary, except that instead of being only occasionally funny, it’s funny most of the time. And it has like a zillion cameos from actual musicians (and other comedians) that work really well.

Not anything that’s going to blow your mind or revolutionize comedy, but I laughed a lot, and that doesn’t usually happen with comedies, so thumbs up.
