Minutes
So this is a collection of five short (like 15-20 minute) films. Each of them is filmed in a single take, and they each have a kind of tragicomic tone to them. My favorite is easily “The Robbery”, which is about a drug addict robbing a convenience store, whose owner turns out to have a friggin’ crossbow, and then taking a phone call while she’s dodging his crossbow shots. The weakest is probably “Parent Teacher,” which felt too broadly on-the-nose as social satire, though I can see teachers really getting into it.
But they’re all good, fun little things, and oh look they’re on Filmstruck so idk where you can even watch them once that’s gone.
