So I was not going to see this, because it looked like a kiddy movie, and kiddy movies are always 100% sucky beyond reckoning[1]. But my wife wanted to see it, and then plus also reviewers started saying it was good, so we went to see it.

And… they’re right! It’s extremely good. Like, I liked Homecoming a lot, but this is clearly the better movie. It’s easily one of the top of the MCU movies, despite not being in the MCU. It’s super-comicky, it’s got a great Miles Morales, it’s got a great set of supporting characters, just generally really good. (Also has one of the best post-credits scenes.)

So anyway, if you would go see a Miles Morales movie, but also (sensibly!) avoid movies made for kids, you don’t need to avoid this one.
