Hey, it was really really good. Like, better than the original Star Wars good (as an absolute film-in-itself value, not time-and-influence normalized). George Lucas has, for a moment, not sucked. Congratulations, George.

Also: It now makes the other movies feel less retcon-y, and (impressively) makes the first movie feel more plausible. Huh!

The Anakin/Padme relationship is still horrible, of course, but I think it’s supposed to be.
