So it didn’t suck! Considering I didn’t like the other Batman movies (the first was okay, but I never felt the need to rewatch it, like, ever; the rest were unwatchable garbage), this is a remarkable feat. The characters were extremely well-cast, the action sequences were fine despite people’s griping, the pacing and plotting was all good, and just generally highly competent. The only problem is that they’re now talking about The Joker, who is the lamest, least interesting villain ever. Sigh. But in general, a successful retcon of the franchise.

So, good job, movie people! You have figured out how to make superhero movies successfully, to the point where you can now make them about characters I don’t care about, and still have them be enjoyable.
