Another movie!
Calendar Girls: Okay, the premise of the movie is that there’s this group of old English women, and one of their husbands dies, and in order to raise money for a memorial charity thing, they all pose tastefully naked for a calendar. Given that premise, write the rest of the movie as you know it will go.
Done? Really? Man, you’ll just do anything anybody tells you, won’t you?
Anyway, there’s a pretty good chance that the screenplay you wrote bears an almost exact correspondence to the actual movie. It’s not bad; in some ways, it’s even a bit better than it has to be (I think the cinematographer decided at some point to ignore the genre and just do cool things); but it’s amazingly obvious. Every plot point is precisely what you’d expect.
