Things:

  1. Completely implausible plot, held together by coincidence and baling wire. Also: Evil spy has his lair in a Frank Lloyd Wright looking home ON TOP OF MOUNT RUSHMORE?!? Er.

  2. Cary Grant is very charismatic; you can see why he’s a star. Whoever the female lead is (Eva Saint James, or something?) could be a voice and line reading double for Andie MacDowell; you can see why she’s not a star.

  3. ON TOP OF MOUNT RUSHMORE? REALLY?

  4. Enjoyable movie, though. If it were released today, it’d be classed as fun summer fluff, and would never be a classic, but since it was released in the Dawn of Movies, it’s a classic. This is the same principle by which Asimov and Clarke are giants of SF, really.
