Okay, so reviewers were unanimous in one thing: “THIS MOVIE MAKES NO SENSE!” they all said. My theory: Movie reviewers are incapable of handling SF plots, and are always confused by them. So I rented this essentially to see if my theory was correct.

Verdict: Abso-fucking-lutely!

Okay, it’s a time travel movie, so there’s the odd paradox here and there, but if you accept that (which you pretty much have to, unless you’re doing a predetermined-future movie like [spoiler by naming the movie]), it’s all perfectly straightforward. And the movie even establishes up-front that it’s not a predetermined-future movie by having things change on the paradoxical-fly, so it’s not a surprise when it happens later on in a plot-significant way.

(Oh, as a movie, it’s pretty lousy. But not because it doesn’t make sense!)
