So Ocean’s 11 was a great movie, an instant classic no matter what the reviews said. Ocean’s 12 was kinda okay, but nothing special. This is… well, it can’t be as classic, because it’s a threequel and not of the kind that’s way better than the original; but it’s a fine movie that’s very nearly on par with the first one. Much better than the second.

Also: We saw this in the theater, cleverly taking in a 10:30 AM showing so that it’d be empty, and it worked well. But even so, man, watching blurry-ass film is hard to do when you’re comparing it to crisp HD-DVD movies, you know? It’s all jumpy and out of focus and distorted in the corners, and whatever. It is very clear that film is horribly obsolete, and only the fact that the necessary infrastructure upgrades aren’t there keeps everyone from switching to digital.
